Apple has added an official Apps for Teachers category to iTunes. Some excellent apps listed, particularly in the “Curricular Support” subcategory.
Guy goes to Jerusalem, asks musicians to play some music, mixes into awesome video.
I have a lot of thoughts about mixing and how it related to education that I’ve been wanting to write for some time, but haven’t quite pulled together yet. I think that will probably happen after school gets out.

But unless you’re an early-adopter masochist with money to burn, you probably shouldn’t buy a Chromebook.
The new system will be known as the Wii U, and the company plans to release it between April and December of next year. It will be compatible with existing Wii games and controllers, so consumers won’t necessarily have to replace software and accessories they already have (unless they want to take advantage of the new system’s capabilities). And unlike the Wii, which was stuck in the low-def era, the new console generates and displays graphics in full 1080p high-definition.

Color me cautiously optimistic. I haven’t touched my Wii system in two years. My Xbox 360 still gets frequent use.
